Comment on New paid to blog service called Bloggertizer but where is the revenue model by Bloggertizer

Hi jspirko

Thanks for checking out Bloggertizer. You are correct in that the service is totally free and that I provided the methodology for Bloggers and Advertiser to police themselves.

I built it out of frustration as both a blogger and advertiser, as most other blog/advertiser hookups either wanted me to pay them or took a cut of any revenue I earned when all they did was pair me with an advertiser. I figured advertiser and bloggers can pair themselves.

My goal is to earn revenue through advertising. I don't think you should build a web site to earn money, you should build a web site that gets traffic. If you get enough traffic, you'll figure out a way to make money.

Once Bloggertizer's traffic numbers are enough to warrant it, I'll offer banner and text links. I'll also offer a 'featured' blog function, where a blogger can pay a fee to be at the top of the list.

Thanks again for checking out the site-

Thanks for the post. I hope Izea rank turns out to be a good measure. I would like another useful tool to see where sites and pages rank. I wrote about the problems with the recent changes to <a href="http://curiouscatlinks.blogspot.com/2007/11/googles-displayed-pagerank.html">Google's Displayed PageRank</a>. I actually tried to add the tracker to my blog after Izea made it available but errors with their system prevented it. I got an email from them that they fixed the problem but haven't taken the time to try again yet - maybe I will now.

OK, Jack when I read this title my first though was arrogant %$^%& *&^$$ jerk. However, after reading it I get your point and let me say good fricken call man. That dude on the Search Engine forum will probably never admit the crow he needs to eat now.

As for what I think it means, I dunno! First I am not sure if the deal will happen, lots of paper work to be done on something like that. Do you think it will go through Jack?

If it does my question is will the two get it together and do what both should have done on their own by now? Or will it be the blind leading the deaf? The power they could have is massive that said both should be far more effective alone then they are now anyway. I don't know if it will matter, it will all be about the vision of the deal after the bell sounds.

I partially agree with the post. The problem is either all can sell or no one can sell. I have come across 2 very good examples where those that punish link salling actually sell memberships including a link that follows. And yes it surely does have a great effect on the quality of search engine results where as this is another issue. All my blogs are do follow blogs hence I generally don't care much about this topic but I care about fair play.

The small ones get punished and the big ones get rich by covered up MAFIA methods. That sucks doesn't it ?

I have researched this carefully and have some answers for you. They were obtained on the PPP forum.
First, the visitor will only hear a audio on the page(s) you insert the code but even then PPP limits to the audios to one evry 3 minutes if the visitor is moving around your site.
The opening revenue is 2 centa a play and that is expected to grow as the program grows in popularity.
I think this is the most exciting opportunity for webmasters bloggers and even social networks like friendsters etc because evrything is free.

Thank you for the article. It's nice to know that people in the know are really examining things. I was PR "scolded" and then a few days later, "slapped," hard. I still don't quite understand what Google's real problem is, but I'm still trying to figure out how I feel after the shock. I was warned, but that doesn't make it better.

I think the real definition of fake PR is that a page that receives PR from Google but has no content in it.

Usually I hear people branding these PR as red PR or rather fake PR

My site also got PR 0 because I use PPP. But after reading your post 2 weeks ago, I have bought 3 domains with existing PR and have made USD 400 in profits in just 1 week by selling blog posts, links etc.

But I'm quite reluctant to put the PPP script because google can detect scripts right?

A great article on how the "other side" views things. It's very important to know how the advertiser feels about the blogger's writings. The discussion can only make things better for both parties. I'm sure after all the hits the "3-tack" blogger got from this page, he's all the wiser!

I love how you describe the Domestic Diva: plucky. There are a lot of plucky writers out there! I'm plucky! Check my blog out sometime! ;)

Thanks so much for the insight. It is a great benefit.

Yeah, it's always funny how people will try to claim PR is useless or old news...perhaps they will change the algo to match up with black hat techniques the same with SERPS. Like you stated about the same anchor linking to 2 sites the one with PR should give it more link juice; I think people know this yet continue to claim it's a waste of time. The guys at Google are pretty good at what they do so I don't see any alternative really 'replacing' their system.

PR is far too overrated, which is exactly why Google likes to make PR "adjustments" to some of the more notable sites. Google likes to have attention and be bowed down to.

As far as a fake page rank, the only scenario where I would consider a site to have a fake page rank is where it would have previously been redirected to a higher PR site (and thus acquired that sites. pagerank).

Buying a site with a page rank is not faking page rank. When you buy a site, you buy everything that comes with it including it's links. You're not faking anything.

Hey Jack,
I wonder how it is that we have not met yet. Were you at pubcon and SES San Jose this year? If you are going to SMX we should meet up and introduce. My first take of this is that Izea is trying to jack up the value of their paid links ahemm I mean reviews.
Well more power to them, I am not buying any of these because I don't want to risk reducing my sites quality score, which is something they don't show us.

Helen,

You are correct about the PR0 that you are seeing in the toolbar being misleading.

We will be publishing a post this week at the <a href="http://www.businessindallas.com" title="Dallas Business Blog">Dallas Business Blog</a> this week to answer this question more in detail.

Well, it's actually quite fun if you have a high PR site. We can use PR to gain a side income (paid links, posts etc) but the fact of the matter is that we cannot rely on PR to determine the true values of a site.

In my opinion, Traffic is much more important than PR.

Hi, good analysis and I do agree PR and RR is completely different. PR will never lose its relevance for the fact there will be advertisers out there who are looking for PR for SEO purposes. RR will come in useful only for advertisers who wish to have word of mouth advertising.

Jack, I would like to know what do you think is the definition of PR0? I mean from what I rightly gather, links from PR0 would not have made it into the search result with their keywords, right? I've checked a few sites that's been hit by Big G and their keywords came out in the search results. Quite highly on top I might add... So, in view of that, PR0 does not exactly mean 0 relevance as far as the search result is concerned, right?

I think this is an excellent post. I saw the thread on PPP and was surprised that so many were resistant to some of the suggestions you made?

I had one website that lost rank. It's down to a 0. The funny thing is I did only one review on their. I completely forgot I had done it until I saw the drop in PR. The only thing I believe could have gotten me was the disclosure or PPP tracking. The review went well with my existing content.

You have to make that call Evelyn.

I would personally still create a second and or third blog. Would I abandon the old one, not necessarily I have not abandoned this one. The reality though is for now Yahoo and MSN combined are tiny compared to Google in ability to drive traffic.

Also you new blog will get indexed by all in time. Get some good links, provide good content and all will take care of itself.

Sure, we cannot ignore Google PR. But what happens if our blog has already been indexed by yahoo and msn? Is it still better to change to a new domain?

Sorry I did not get back to everyone for a few days, here is a reply to everyone I appreciate every comment and try to respond to most of them.

Matt, Thanks for the kind words. And yea Big G is getting pretty damn heavy handed with their power.

Dexter, Does not look like there is that much interest in a course but I may do some free vids on at least how to do nofollow, put your policy in images, etc. Check back or opt in to be sure you get notified of posts.

jennyr, I don't know if Google will ban blogger users but I would get off of blogger all together. Web hosting is cheap and WordPress is much more powerful anyway and free. Get a Linux host with Fantistico and you can install WP with a few click. This blog is on WordPress and using one of thousands of free themes. It takes a bit of effort to lean some basic tech skills and FTP etc but once you do you have so many more options, etc.

Beagle, yea I just wanted people to have the information and be able to defend themselves if they choose to. I documented it and I am sure there are some more steps to take. I am not sure all of them were really known, I have never seen anyone put a disclosure policy in an image for instance until after the PageRank Spank.

ThatBlogger, the only reason I bothered to respond to all that resistance is because the others were saying things that are just false. As they are well known there I did not want false statements to stand unchallenged and be read by newer bloggers and just taken as fact. If I help one or two it was worth the effort.
