My favorite little web 2.0 company

We have been thinking  a lot about web 2.0 and the concept of "the more people that use a service the better it works" as we plan out our projects for 2007.  We have some big plans and everyone is working like crazy so I decided to do a post that was a bit less serious but still had something to do with web marketing and Web 2.0.

One thing we like to do to unwind is have a nice, tall, cool beer.  Note the ladies on the left are not part of the Comtech News Staff Frown.   So not to long ago I was scanning a list of like 200 Web 2.0 start up sites and came across a site called Coastr.

As you might have guessed the theme of Coastr is beer where you will get honest opinions about different beers, from micro brews to mass produced stuff from fellow beer drinkers. Coastr isn't fancy, it is basicly a multi user blog you can sign up to take part in.  Yet it shows that web 2.0 does not need to be complicated to be useful and really cool.

Stop by Coastr some time, share some thoughts on your favorite beers and don't forget to take a break once in a while and unwind.  Next time you do try my personal favorite beer, Chimay Red.
