On of my favorite parts about being an Internet Marketer and specificly an SEO is how much information sharing goes on even amoung competitors.   Think about it how many other professions are there with competitors actively telling each other what works and helping each other to improve.

So when ever I come across a new Marketing Forum I tend to join it and take part in a few discussions.  Even after 6 years of working professionally I still tend to learn something new in forums almost daily.

So when I heard about a new Internet Marketing Forum I took a visit.  The forum is typical with boards on the major engines, SEO, PPC, etc.  While it is fairly new it is already active with some great folks sharing information.  So you might want to give it a visit and check it out.

They were also smart and included RSS feeds for all the boards so if you find a favorite be sure to add it to your feed reader.

Do you jump onto the next Internet marketing craze?

Newbies often make the mistake of jumping from one make-money-online opportunity to the next without ever taking the time to do anything properly. It’s tough for someone new to Internet marketing to focus only on the very basics.

Trying to do Video, PodCasting, Audio, Google AdSense, SEO, RSS, or Secret Project XYZ etc… all at once, just won’t get you anywhere. First you need to build a solid foundation for your online business.

I highly recommend to everyone new to the world of IM to master the basics first before trying any of the “fancier” stuff. Pick a strategy, write your plan… and follow through. That’s going to be responsible for more than 70% of your long-term success:

    * Use a few basic strategies to generate traffic
    * Build a targeted, profitable list
    * Develop a relationship with your subscriber – this makes your list responsive
    * Ask them what they want and give it to them

I know, it’s often difficult to resist all these enticing offers hitting your mailbox every day – but you simply have to put them aside and stay focused on your plan.
